A Doberman Adoption Placement Team (ADAPT) is a group of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to save the lives of homeless Doberman Pinschers in TX and, upon occasion, surrounding states. Most of our members reside in and around North Houston. We rescue, heal, and rehabilitate before meeting our primary goal of placing these beautiful dogs into safe and loving homes. Homes where they can live out their lives as wonderful companions to those who are lucky and caring enough to welcome them.

Our Mission

ADAPT’s focus is the humane rescue and safe re-homing of abused, abandoned or otherwise in need Dobermans. We are dedicated to the humane re-homing and rescue of Dobermans so all dogs are temperament checked, current on shots, spayed/neutered, and currently on heart worm prevention. ADAPT will provide education to the local community on benefits of spay/neuter, vetting and heart worm preventatives, as well as breed basics and introduction.
